Siegrid Ley-Grassner studied law at the University of Vienna, at the Université Panthéon-Assas, Paris II (Magister iuris), at the Johannes Kepler University Linz (Doctor iuris) and at Columbia University, New York (LL.M.).
She was admitted to the New York Bar in 2011 and to the Austrian Bar in 2013.
Siegrid Ley-Grassner began her legal career as a university assistant at the department of civil law of the Paris Lodron University in Salzburg, where she worked under Prof. Dr. Andreas Kletečka. She then worked for several renowned law firms in Austria before founding Grassner Rechtsanwalts GmbH in 2020.
Siegrid Ley-Grassner is, in addition to her practice as an attorney, a lecturer in civil law at the Faculty of Law of Sigmund Freud University Vienna.
In her legal practice, Siegrid Ley-Grassner focuses on real estate law, corporate and company law as well as dispute resolution (litigation and arbitration).
In addition, Siegrid Ley-Grassner has special knowledge regarding supervisory board topics. Therefore, she was awarded the title "Certified Supervisory Expert" by the incite UBIT Academy after a commission examination.
Siegrid Ley-Grassner has been a lawyer judge since October 2024 in the “Appeals and Disciplinary Senate for Lawyers and Trainee Lawyers” at the Supreme Court. Previously, she was a member of the Disciplinary Senate of the Upper Austrian Bar Association.
Siegrid Ley-Grassner also has the honour of serving as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Slovenia in Upper Austria.
