Dr Günther Grassner studied at the Johannes Kepler University Linz (Doctor iuris) and at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland (Master of International Business Law).
From the mid-1980s onwards, he worked as a lawyer with a professional focus on insolvency, corporate and contract law. Dr Günther Grassner has handled hundreds of insolvency proceedings as a court-appointed administrator. He advised debtors as well as creditors in numerous corporate crises. One of his professional preferences as a attorney was the resolution of shareholder disputes.
At the end of 2020, Dr Günther Grassner resigned from the bar. Since then, he has devoted himself primarily to exercising supervisory board, administrative board and management mandates in major companies. Dr Günther Grassner is also a member of several foundation boards and also a managing partner of Grassner Consulting GmbH.
